Why DCF?

  • The Context

    Unemployment Rate in Nigeria has been on the rise. Men and women are daily losing their jobs. 25% of the labour force are either un-employed or under-employed. Two in five youths between the ages of 15 and 35 are affected.

  • The Questions

    How do we help our youth, men and women retain jobs and remain relevant in the workplace of the future? How can we create jobs?

  • Our Answer

    The continous rise in the rates of unemployment and underemployment in Nigeria demands the attention of not just the government and private sector but of the church also. Dominion Care Foundation is one of our major responses at RCCG Dominion Sanctuary, Acme to tackling these societal ills. To this end, the Foundation was set up to design and implement initiatives that would contribute to providing solutions to the identified problems.

Objectives

To equip individuals in Nigeria and sub-Sahara Africa with appropriate skills, for creating employment and achieving financial independence as well as self-leadership by :

Providing adequate information on opportunities available in the communities and beyond

Equipping individuals with leadership, entrepreneurial and vocational skills plus resources required to achieve financial independence, work productivity and effectiveness.

Reaching out to socially and economically disadvantaged people, providing needed services and support e.g. student bursaries and scholarships.

Providing start up business consultancy and advisory services to entrepreneurs.
5
Supporting the beneficiaries economically, psychologically, socially and spiritually.
