Our adoption as joint-heirs with Christ gives the fullest of joy.
Romans 8:17 says "And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."
Our adoption as joint-heirs with Christ gives the fullest of joy.

A young Nigerian lady was adopted by an organization in the USA when her father was killed by Boko Haram. Watching a documentary on her on CNN, she looked fresh and well kept. One could imagine the differences between her and some of her childhood friends still in Chibok or Sambisa forest. What would her fate have been if she was not adopted into a loving environment?
Some orphanage homes offer the worst of experiences. You can imagine what difference it makes when a child in such environment is adopted into a godly and wealthy family. It would a different story.
The Bible in a way uses adoption to illustrate what God has done for us believers. We were once dirty, diseased and smelling like abandoned children. We got to this point because of our sins. He showed us mercy and washed us clean with His blood. He cleaned us up, removed our rags and put on us a new garment. He began to nourish us with His Word. He brought us to a new family with new rights and privileges. He made us joint-heirs with Jesus Christ.
What a blessing, what a privilege being of the same heritage with Christ. This shows us the depth of God’s grace and love. He gives us hope of victory over challenges and an assured future because our Father owns the heaven and earth. For us to enjoy these benefits, we must have a close relationship with the Lord.
