“And the Lord gave the people FAVOUR in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoilt the Egyptians“. Ex.12.36
The Hebrew word RATSON commonly translated FAVOUR also means KINDNESS, MERCY,
GRACE, GOODWILL, ACCEPTANCE, DELIGHT, PLEASURE. Favour invokes unmerited
goodness. It is the kindness shown without regard to the worth or merit of the one who receives it and in spite of what that person deserves. Favour is a key attribute of God.
If hard work were directly proportional to wealth, a lot of people will be extremely wealthy today. Favour always come with blessings. Favour is an arbitrary decision by a superior to delight in and bring one to a position of advantage over others. It’s your appointed time for favour! “David said to him, Fear not, for I will surely show you KINDNESS for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather and you shall eat at my table always.” 2 Samuel 9.7
